Envol started as a simple lab, that took advantage of being established near and having access to the largest nonhuman primate facility in the country. In the early days of Envol, the focus was primarily on discovery, where they were quite responsive and quick with the process. However, as anticipated with a new lab, there were some growing pains, particularly in staff training related to contract research organization (CRO) experience, performance, and product consistency, where the process could have been smoother than it is today.
Taking a New Picture of Envol
Today, Envol has built on its foundational strengths such as – access to animals, and responsive and interested staff – by improving education training and bringing in new talent. Envol has a higher level of sophistication and quality that not only meets or exceeds what is expected from a top-tier CRO but hasn’t lost the culture of what the clients enjoyed about Envol from the beginning. It’s easy to see that Envol is constantly evolving in our sophistication, we’re doing things above and beyond to improve our speed and responsiveness in communication. New capabilities and skills are being added to better meet customer needs, and we’re really excited about the progress we’ve seen so far.

Additionally, foreign entities have also begun buying and creating sites here in the U.S. In contrast, Envol is a small, U.S.-based company, with a single location, and a strong, identifiable cultural dynamic. We’re focused on building our customer base within the U.S. through relationships, even more so now as the economy has switched over to a seller’s market rather than a buyer’s market. This has caused the CRO industry to become increasingly competitive and price-constrictive. Building trust within our customer relationships is crucial for us, as we understand that through the ebbs and flows of the business, our primary goal is to deliver exceptional service and maintain reliable commitment to our clients.
